DAFNE VIJANDE

At La Zagaleta I designed an interior that wouldn't compete with the views — it would simply frame them. When you have the Mediterranean and the Sierra de Ronda before you, interior design has to know when to be quiet.

Impresionante hall de entrada de una villa en La Zagaleta con escalera helicoidal de gran altura en piedra caliza y pasamanos de acero, con una mesa redonda central con orquídeas.

I worked with warm whites, natural stone, and light wood to create a luminous retreat. Double-height dining rooms with tropical palms, terraces overlooking the endless sea — every space invites you to stay.

This project taught me that sometimes the greatest sophistication lies in simplicity: few elements, well chosen, and letting the light do the rest.
