When we arrived in Caviedes, we found a century-old house of 650 square metres at the foot of Monte Corona, in a state of near ruin. Where others saw decay, I saw possibility: stone walls holding centuries of life, chestnut beams waiting for a second chance.

I wanted the entire ground floor to breathe as a single space. The living room merges with the kitchen and the heated pool, and the materials — wood, stone, warm textiles — converse with the Cantabrian landscape that pours through every window.
We worked with local artisans: bespoke furniture in chestnut and oak, and frescoes by Mayesa Mira that transform the bedrooms into something truly unique. Every corner has its story, and that is what turns a house into a home.
“The original stone walls and the views of Caviedes are part of this home's identity. Creating spaces as open as possible, where the living room merges with the kitchen and the heated pool.”
